General Seaplane Rules
You will only be able to safely connect to a seaplane transfer if your international flight or mainland arrangements have you available to fly from 9am onwards to 2.30pm only - (This allows for any slight delays - custom and baggage clearance and time to walk to the Domestic terminal.) The resort will not accept any seaplane to or from the resort before 9am in the morning to protect in house guests privacy and comfort.
PLEASE NOTE: Pacific Island Seaplanes DO NOT offer any courtesy airport transfers. You are responsible to make your own way to the airport to meet your seaplane flight - we can though assist with this if required.
Flights to the Yasawas depart Nadi between 9am and 3.30pm (April – Sept) and 4pm (Oct – March) *rates do not include any transfer arrangements required to meet your flight.
As weather conditions in the tropics can change quickly. This could mean your sea plane journey is delayed or cancelled at short notice. Likewise unexpected maintenance issues could also delay or cancel your flight . We strongly advise all customers to purchase travel insurance that covers for these possibilities . Octopus Resort can not accept liability for changes in departure time or cancellation of sea plane flights or boat trips between locations if your journey requires a boat transfer to or from Octopus Resort.
If you are flying Turtle Airway please note that operational restrictions means they are not normally able to fly to Octopus Resort due to landing capabilities, they fly to our sister resort, Paradise Cove, which is approximately 25 minutes away by boat. The boat journey between both locations is weather dependent. To the untrained eye, weather or sea conditions may appear suitable for sea plane flights, however conditions at other locations where the flight originates, sea swell or currents beyond the operational limits for the aircraft means that while delays and cancellations are rare , they do happen. Please plan ahead and purchase travel insurance.
